Singular Bilinear Integrals in Quantum Physics

چکیده

Bilinear integrals of operator-valued functions with respect to spectral measures and integrals of scalar functions with respect to the product of two spectral measures arise in many problems in scattering theory and spectral analysis. Unfortunately, the theory of bilinear integration with respect to a vector measure originating from the work of Bartle cannot be applied due to the singular variational properties of spectral measures. In this work, it is shown how “decoupled” bilinear integration may be used to find solutions X of operator equations AX − XB = Y with respect to the spectral measure of A and to apply such representations to the spectral decomposition of block operator matrices. A new proof is given of Peller’s characterisation of the space L((P ⊗ Q)L(H)) of double operator integrable functions for spectral measures P , Q acting in a Hilbert space H and applied to the representation of the trace of ∫ Λ×Λ φd(PTP ) for a trace class operator T . The method of double operator integrals due to Birman and Solomyak is used to obtain an elementary proof of the existence of Krein’s spectral shift function.

A General New Algorithm for Regulaization of Singular Integrals in Three-Dimensional Boundary Elemnts

In this paper an algorithm is presented for the regularization of singular integrals with any degrees of singularity, which may be employed in all three-dimensional problems analyzed by Boundary Elements. The integrals in Boundary Integrals Equations are inherently singular. For example, one can mention the integrals confronted in potential problems to evaluate the flow or the gradient of the f...

Multilinear Singular Integral Operators with Variable Coefficients

Some recent results for bilinear or multilinear singular integrals operators are presented. The focus is on some of the results that can be viewed as natural counterparts of classical theorems in Calderón-Zygmund theory, adding to the already existing extensive literature in the subject. In particular, two different classes of operators that can be seen as bilinear counterparts of linear Calder...

Sparse bounds for oscillatory and random singular integrals

Let TP f(x) = ∫ e K(y)f(x − y) dy, where K(y) is a smooth Calderón–Zygmund kernel on R, and P be a polynomial. We show that there is a sparse bound for the bilinear form 〈TP f, g〉. This in turn easily implies Ap inequalities. The method of proof is applied in a random discrete setting, yielding the first weighted inequalities for operators defined on sparse sets of integers.

Bounds for Multilinear Sublevel Sets

The question in the form (1.2) was posed by Li, Tao, Thiele, and this author in [5]. Nonoscillatory inequalities of the form ∫ ∏ j |fj◦`j | . ∏ j ‖fj‖Lpj have been studied in [1],[2]. Oscillatory integral inequalities of this type have been extensively studied for n = 2, where one is dealing with bilinear forms 〈Tλ(f1), f2〉. The associated linear operators Tλ are commonly known as oscillatory i...
